It’s a combination, and the lock it opens is on a box under a stuffed Panda
nailed to a tree close to Khe Sahn.
Neither team had seen the Panda during the battle for Khe Sahn, so a flash traffic
intel message informed each general of a Panda sighting and the teams were off running.
The NVA showed up first and secured the area while awaiting generals orders. The NVA spent 15 minutes or so trying
different combinations relayed to them by their General. Eventually the coded
messages were cracked and the box was opened.
Inside the box was a vial of liquid gold (Golden Intelligence).
By returning this vial to the HQ ref, the NVA General received the final
mission early, and was able
to take advantage of his Intelligence to position troops
